Artificial lake for rainwater drainage

A fishing and walking place, Barreau Lake is located 4 Km from the city center of Saint-Rémy de Provence (D5, Direction Maillane). Dug in the 80s to drain rainwater, the lake has become a popular tourist destination during periods of summer heat.

The site of Barreau Lake has been arranged for picnicking (tables and benches) and walking (dirt path around the entire lake).

Free access throughout the year (not subject to access restrictions of the Alpilles mountain range during drought periods).
